Tilemaster Adhesives' Glynn Griffin has received The Tile Association 'Employee of the Year' Award 2019. The coveted award was presented at the annual TTA Awards ceremony, which recognizes excellence and achievement throughout the industry. Held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, the Masquerade-themed event was hosted by rugby superstar, Kyran Bracken MBE, with awards presented across 17 categories.
Roccia has completed the first in a series of surface design projects for V Capital Partnership Ltd, installed using Tilemaster Adhesives' fixing products. The high-end show home installation, at the exclusive new development 'Willow Gate' in Preston, forms part of a 12-property luxury gated community. Italian polished porcelain was installed, by Helix Tiling Services, throughout the ground floor and bathrooms, using Tilemaster Setaflex Adhesive and Grout 3000.
Tilemaster Adhesives' Stuart Forkin recently battled the elements to complete the Liverpool Half Marathon for Alder Hey Children's Charity. Finishing the course in just over three hours, Stuart met the tough conditions head on, especially during the last 3-4 miles toward Pier Head on the Mersey front.

Tilemaster Adhesives has revamped its best-selling Grout 3000, introducing seven new colours to the range, in response to customer and end-user requests. Grout 3000 is now available in 18 shades and is suitable for a wider range of grout joints, from 1mm to 20mm in depth for on-trend thicker porcelain tiles. Benefits to the tile fixer include easier mixing and application - and new Grout 3000 is also easier to wash off the face of the tile and it offers a quicker setting time in the joint. Alongside this, Grout 3000 also offers mould and water resistance and remains efflorescence free.
Tilemaster Adhesives recently hosted its first industry Golf Day at Greenway Hall Golf Club in Stoke-on-Trent. Seven teams of four players each, from across the flooring and tiling sector, enjoyed the 18-hole course under sunny skies.
In response to market demand, Tilemaster Adhesives has appointed Lenny Morrow to represent its brand in Ireland. A relatively new market to Tilemaster Adhesives, the firm has seen interest in its range grow throughout the region over the last 18 months. In order to support existing customers and explore new opportunities, Lenny will jointly represent both the Tilemaster Adhesives and Kerakoll brands in a new role, with a view to Tilemaster Adhesives expanding in the future.
Penrith Tile Centre Ltd has completed a second stunning project for Cumbrian Homes, using a range of Tilemaster Adhesives' products. In this latest development, at Carleton Manor Park, Penrith designed and installed all tiled spaces throughout the Manor's nine luxury apartments and their communal areas. Surfaces specified included 450x450mm Carrera Grey marble-effect tiles, with Planked Porcelain black border feature tiles. Tilemaster Rapid Level 30 was used to prepare and level substrates - to give a seamless finish that was tile-ready within 60 minutes. Tilemaster Anti-fracture Mat was also specified, to provide extra stability and to absorb movement under the tiled surfaces. For fixing, the Tilemaster specification included Trade Flexi Rapid adhesive and Grout 3000, in a mid-grey tone.

The high performance construction products include DeltaBoard thermal construction boards, DeltaTray Thames and Trent shower tray formers, as well as drain and waterproofing kits, grates and fixing washers. Tilemaster has boosted its growing technical support team with the appointment of Craig Powell. Bringing further practical experience to the homegrown firm, Craig has run his own tile fixing business for over 14 years, working on domestic and commercial tiling projects throughout the UK.
Specialist floor fitter, Steven Hugo has joined Tilemaster’s Technical Team. In the new role, Steven will support customers with technical related flooring enquiries, providing expert advice gained from over 16 years ‘on the tools’.
Gareth Birks has joined Tilemaster Adhesives as Sales Manager. Bringing 16 years’ specialist experience in the adhesives sector, Gareth will look after Tilemaster’s customers throughout the UK, providing support and technical assistance, and bringing new innovations to market.
A Tilemaster fixing system has been specified by Penrith Tile Centre at The Fitz in Cockermouth, Cumbria. The extensive hotel installation, which was project managed and designed by Penrith Tiles’ John Williams, includes Italian porcelain, mosaics and encaustics. All finishes were installed by Paul Burkett Construction, using Tilemaster adhesives, grouts and matching silicones.
Tilemaster Adhesives has announced that it has been acquired by Kerakoll. Following theacquisition, the two brands will continue to run separately, in order to continue building and progressing both brands. Tilemaster’s Managing Director, Mark Kelly and the rest of the team – including Paul and Rhona Kelly – will continue in their roles, with “business as usual”at the Lancashire-based firm.

The French country manor is an exclusive wedding venue, with 31 boutique hotel rooms, bars, lounges, ceremony and function rooms. A stunning range of stone, ceramic and porcelain surfaces feature throughout and complement the exquisite ‘shabby chic’ design. They include Minster Antiqued Flagstones, from Marshalls Tile & Stone Interiors, and floor and wall designs from Peronda’s Laccio collection, designed in collaboration with Dsignio. Tilemaster products specified included Flexilevel, Setaflex and Grout 3000.
Tilemaster Adhesives has introduced a new damp proof membrane to its surface preparation range. New FAST One Coat DPM is a solvent-free, epoxy-based product that cures in just 4-5 hours. The two-component system can be used on surfaces with a relative humidity of up to 98% and can be installed where no structural DPM is present.
Tilemaster has been shortlisted for The Tile Association ‘Excellence in Marketing Award’ 2017. The nomination is in recognition of Tilemaster’s customer-focused marketing activities, which aim to inform tile fixers and retailers, and provide useful tools on site and in the showroom.
Mosaic artist, Jackie Nash recently used a range of Tilemaster products to create a welcome mosaic for Powell Corderoy Primary School in Surrey. Chosen to provide a range of fixing benefits, as well as suitability for cold and damp conditions outdoors, the specification included a Tilemaster primer, adhesive and grout.
Gareth Gray has joined Tilemaster as Area Sales Manager for its Flooring Division, for the North, Midlands, Scotland and Ireland. In his role, Gareth will work with flooring distributors and contractors, offering daily technical and specification support, carrying out site visits and organising demonstration days.
Tilemaster Adhesives is supporting mosaic artist, Jackie Nash in the creation of a remembrance garden for Finlay Church. At just ten years old, Finlay was diagnosed with a brain tumour. During a year-long battle with the disease, he raised £100k to help others, as well as breaking a world record for the longest line of teddy bears - 15,534 – and receiving numerous accolades, including the Pride of Birmingham Award. Sadly, Finlay lost his fight last autumn and the mosaic garden at his school – Alvechurch Middle School in Worcestershire – aims to celebrate his life.
