Glynn Griffin receives TTA 'Employee of the Year' Award
Tilemaster Adhesives' Glynn Griffin has received The Tile Association 'Employee of the Year' Award 2019. The coveted award was presented at the annual TTA Awards ceremony, which recognizes excellence and achievement throughout the industry. Held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, the Masquerade-themed event was hosted by rugby superstar, Kyran Bracken MBE, with awards presented across 17 categories.
The first member of Tilemaster's flourishing Technical Team, Glynn is described as "lifting a room wherever he walks" by colleagues and friends. The proud Northerner - who has an accent as broad as his smile - started his career as a lorry driver. He then trained to be a tiler and later moved onto teaching tiling at Blackpool College, acquiring further skills. In 2015, he left teaching and became the first employee of Tilemaster's Technical Team; an operation that still exists today, and is flourishing.
