Go with the Pro Flow
As any professional installer will know, a perfectly smooth level substrate is critical for a perfect finish when laying a resilient floor. If you are looking for a reliable, fast setting smoothing compound, we recommend Tilemaster Pro Flow, a double component, rapid setting product that has a waiting time before laying of 4 hours for decorative floor coverings. Its excellent flow and adhesion properties make it easy and pleasant to use. It is moisture-tolerant and can be used to smooth the floor prior to the installation of a DPM. It can even be used without priming on most substrates, although priming will minimise the risk of pinholes forming, allow for the best flow properties and prolong the working time.
Where the existing floor has had to be lifted, adhesive and flooring grade bitumen residues are often left behind, and many smoothing compounds cannot be used over these. Pro Flow is the product to turn to, as it works well over these residues, providing a smooth surface on which to lay the floor.
Once the floor is smoothed, Tilemaster Feather can be used to correct any small imperfections before the floor covering is laid. It dries in as little as 15 minutes allowing work to carry on promptly.
Tilemaster Eco-3000HT should be used to install the floor covering. This high temperature universal adhesive is suitable for installing LVT, PVC, vinyl flooring as well as carpet and textiles onto a wide variety of substrates. It is ideal for use in conservatories, as well as other buildings with large expanses of glass where direct sunlight may heat the floor. Tilemaster Eco-3000HT has been formulated with a fast tacking-off time. Flooring can be installed after as little as 10 minutes, when the adhesive is semi-tacked off and has reached its ‘anti-slide’ state.
