Hannah goes the extra mile for Alzheimer's Society
Tilemaster Adhesives' Hannah Southworth recently joined thousands of participants in Manchester's 'Ready Steady GLOW' Memory Walk. Taking part to support the Alzheimer's Society, Hannah completed the 5km route with best-friend, Emily Dickinson for her Grandma, who is living with Alzheimer's.
Manchester's first 'Ready Steady GLOW' event followed an illuminated route along the city's waterfront - around Media City and Salford Quays - across iconic bridges and past the famous Imperial War Museum and Lowry theatre. Hannah and Emily completed the route, in neon and glow, reflecting on their cause and finally leaving a message on the event's Memory Tree, which 'blossomed' throughout the night.
"Over the last few years, myself and my family have taken part in the annual St Catherine's Moonlight Walk in Preston. This year, I supported my friend and a cause that's close to our hearts, in the hope that one day we can live in a world without dementia," explained Hannah.
