Tilemaster launches fast-drying Tanking Kit & Paste system
Tilemaster has launched a new fast-drying Tanking Kit and Paste system that is a single coat application and is ready to tile after just three hours. Designed to waterproof areas exposed to wet and damp conditions, the single-coat ‘ready to use’ kit can be applied directly to unprimed surfaces, where it seals and stabilizes the substrate before tiling. The tanking system is ideal for bathrooms, showers, wet rooms and steam rooms in both commercial and domestic applications and it can also be used externally.
The new Tanking Kit compromises 2.5kg of single coat Tanking Paste, 10 linear metres of Reinforcing Fleece Tape, a pair of pre-formed Internal Corner pieces and latex gloves; all of the items within the kit are also available separately. Based on co-polymer technology, the Tanking Paste creates a moisture barrier that can accommodate slight movement/vibration and prepares substrates prior to the installation of ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles. It can be applied onto a large variety of surfaces from plasterboard to plywood, and is also suitable for use with underflooring heating systems.
